Search Engine Optimisation

Why SEO Matters for Your Website

Most of your customers find you through Google. If you're not showing up in search results, you don't exist to them.

SEO gets your business in front of people actively searching for what you offer. Not ads. Not luck. Just showing up when it matters.

SEO by the Numbers → Why This Matters

Three out of four clicks go to the first three results. If you're on page two, you might as well not exist.

Local searches matter more than you think. Nearly half of all Google searches are people looking for businesses near them. If you're a South African company targeting local customers, local SEO isn't optional.

"How to Outrank Your Competitors" → What Actually Works

Your competitors aren't doing rocket science. Most just do the basics consistently.

Get your technical setup right. Fast load times. Mobile works properly. No broken links or redirect chains. Search engines can't rank what they can't access.

Write for people who need your services. Not "high-quality content." Actual answers to questions your customers ask. If you're a conveyancer, explain property transfer costs. If you sell industrial equipment, explain maintenance schedules.

Build links from real sources. Industry associations. Local business directories. Guest posts on relevant blogs. Not link farms.

Own your local presence. Claim your Google Business Profile. Keep your NAP (name, address, phone) consistent everywhere it appears online.

What does SEO involve?

SEO makes sure Google can find your site, understand what it's about and trust it enough to show it to searchers.

That breaks down into three parts:

Technical SEO: Your site loads fast, works on mobile and doesn't throw errors when search engines crawl it. SSL certificate in place. Clean URLs. Sitemap submitted.

On-page SEO: Each page targets specific search terms. Title tags and meta descriptions written for clicks. Headings structured properly. Images optimized.

Off-page SEO: Other credible sites link to yours. Your Google Business Profile is claimed and updated. You show up in local directories.

Without technical SEO, Google can't index your site properly. Without on-page, it doesn't know what you do. Without off-page, it doesn't trust you.

Search Engine Optimisation

What We offer

SEO Keywords

Most businesses guess at keywords. I find what your customers actually type into Google.

Keyword research shows you which terms get searches, how hard they are to rank for and what searchers want when they use them. Someone searching "conveyancer fees Johannesburg" wants pricing. Someone searching "how does property transfer work" wants education.

I identify both - then we write content that matches the intent.

SEO Audit

An SEO audit finds what's broken and what's holding you back.

I check your site for technical errors search engines hate: redirect chains, duplicate content, slow load times, mobile issues, broken internal links, missing alt tags, poorly structured URLs.

Then I prioritize fixes. Not every error matters equally. A broken 301 redirect from your old domain costs you traffic. A missing image alt tag on a footer icon doesn't.

You get a list of what needs fixing, in order of impact. You can hand it to your developer or I can implement the fixes.

SEO Indexing

Publishing a website doesn't mean Google knows it exists.

Indexing is the process of getting your pages into Google's database. I submit your sitemap, verify your site in Google Search Console and monitor indexation status.

Sometimes pages don't index because of technical blocks (noindex tags, robots.txt restrictions). Sometimes they're just low-priority for Google. I identify which is which and fix what needs fixing.

You'll also start seeing 404 errors pop up as Google discovers old links pointing to your site. I help you decide which ones to redirect and which to ignore.

Competitor Analysis

Your competitors rank for keywords you should own.

I analyze what's working for them: which keywords drive their traffic, where their backlinks come from, how they structure their content, what pages rank highest.

Then we identify gaps. Keywords they rank for that you don't. Backlink sources you haven't tapped. Content topics you're missing.

This isn't about copying them. It's about seeing what Google rewards in your industry, then doing it better.

Google Business Profile

If you serve local customers, your Google Business Profile is the most important piece of real estate you own.

It shows up in local search results and Google Maps. When someone searches "plumber near me" or "conveyancer Sandton," businesses with optimized profiles appear first.

I claim and optimize your profile: correct business information, service areas, business hours, photos, categories. I set up posts, monitor reviews and track how people find you.

Most businesses set this up once and forget it. Keeping it updated gives you an edge.

What are the cost for the SEO services?

SEO pricing depends on what you need.

A one-time audit and keyword research costs less than an ongoing campaign where I'm actively building links and creating content every month.

Local service businesses typically need local SEO (Google Business Profile, citations, review management). E-commerce sites need product page optimization and technical fixes. Established sites might just need a quarterly health check.
